Fantastic time We had such a fantastic time at Shepherds Tree Game lodge. Our game driver Khatlego was knowledgeable and always had a positive attitude. The food was so tasty and presented beautifully. The staff were all attentive and helpful. We will definitely be back again.

Magnificent. Shepard's Tree Game Lodge is a beautiful resort where you can relax in all luxury you want. The lodges are very nice and super clean. The staff is super friendly and the place is just spotless. Then there are the safari's. Wow. Breathtaking. I did the ones early in the morning and at the end of the afternoon. Because it is winter, the temperatures can be quite low. Although you'll get a blanket and a hot water bottle on the jeep, I bought a warm jacket and a beanie at the shop by the reception. So happy!! We had such a lovely time! We were very lucky on our game drives, witnessing the wide range of beautiful animals that the Pilansberg has to offer, alongside the attentive and helpful hospitality at Shepherd’s Tree. Surprise trip for my wifes $0th Birthday Where to start... From the moment we arrived to the moment we left, the experience was breath-taking. The room (we had the executive suite, was stunning. The room was spotless, plenty of room, and the bed was extremely comfy. The outdoor showers were an amazing touch and the plunge pool was amazing. Food.... just wow! The chefs should have international awards. All meals were exquisite and the presentation and attention to detail was second to none. Staff extremely friendly and attentive. Safari trips... just amazing. Beyond anything I could have imagined. Our safari guide, Pete, was extremely knowledgeable, and genuinely wanted us to have an amazing experience.. Exceptional experience! Everything is perfect. The room is beautiful, the service welcoming and friendly, thank you everyone but in particular Piet and Maria. Just WOW! Wow! Where do I start? We experienced 7 nights at this incredible Lodge, staying in an Executive Villa. The Lodge is situated in a private area of the National Park. The Villa was just beautiful, so much care and attention to detail and it came with a private, heated pool within the terraced area. The outdoor shower was also a lovely addition! We took 13 Game Drives with our awesome Ranger...Johannes, definitely Ranger Royalty. Each drive was an adventure and an education. He is incredibly knowledgeable and his passion is evident. We saw so much! Elephant herds crossing in front of us, Lions, Hippos...all of the Big 5! The Drives are quite intimate, 6 guests in total. Blankets, hot water bottles and a refreshment stop are included. Back at the Lodge you will not go hungry!! Meals are divine! A full breakfast is served on returning from the morning drives, choices are plentiful. Lunch is 3 course, which we often had to skip as we had eaten so much! Dinner served after the evening Drive...a 5 course extravaganza plus cheeseboard!! Each dish is lovingly presented. The staff here are amazing. Everyone is so friendly, you get the impression they are a big happy family, much laughter, which provides a wonderful atmosphere. A must night is the Boma evening. Arriving back from a Drive we were directed to a stunning firelit area, where we sat with fellow guests and dined on BBQ ostrich and other specialities. A highlight was being guests within a private dining room, the wine cellar. Such a special evening! A must is the SPA,I enjoyed the most relaxing treatment in beautiful surroundings. I cannot praise the staff at this fantastic Lodge highly enough. This has been a holiday where dreams have become reality. Thank you. We are leaving feeling like "family" x

An amazing experience What a fantastic holiday we have had. A once in a lifetime experience. All the staff were lovely, efficient and helpful. The food was top class. The setting amazing. Our safari guide Senzo,s knowledge was incredible. We saw so many animals, the experience of seeing them in their natural habitat is amazing. We were here for 6 nights which was perfect and we have loved every minute. Our tips, make sure you have very warm clothes for the Safari drives, it gets very cold and you need lots of layers and hats and gloves. Also bring binoculars with you or they can be hired. Honestly, the whole experience is amazing. We cant recommend Sheperd tree lodge enough.
